Baccarat is a classic table game offered at just about every casino both online and off. Played online they are actually normally mini-baccarat games, as the game is handled entirely by the virtual dealer (with some exceptions).
Bearing in mind that baccarat games played off the same software platform will play the same at different casinos (though with some minor aesthetic changes and possibly different table limits), we offer the following comparisons between software brands rather than individual online casinos.
| Software: | Multiplayer Baccarat? | Live Baccarat? | Private Tables? |

Microgaming offers mini-baccarat tables only, both in a 'regular' format and a high-limit game. Strangely, while the high limit game does indeed offer higher limits, it also has a lower minimum bet than the 'regular' version, which has a $10 minimum per hand.

While they've recently released a download module, Net Entertainment was traditionally a browser-based games only software company, and as such their baccarat games are Flash-based at most of their casinos. Many Net Entertainment casinos offer very low limit mini baccarat tables, as low as 10 cents a hand.

Playtech is one of the few software brands to offer both live dealer baccarat games and private tables for its players. There are a number of side bets available on the mini-baccarat tables with various odds - player pair, perfect pair, big, small, either pair or banker pair.

Rival currently offers just a simple version of mini-baccarat at its casinos, most of which have a $10 minimum per bet; perhaps a little on the high side for new players. That said, the game looks very nice and plays well.

Vegas Technology is another software provider that only offers 'normal' mini-baccarat games, but they do have a great betting range available on many of their casinos - as low as a buck a hand and up to 10,000 at certain venues.

While they don't offer live games at the moment, Cryptologic casinos do have both regular multiplayer and private table games available and many licensees with a great reputation to boot. That said, the game interface could use some updating and plays a little slow compared to others.
