Bingo Hall

In the world of online gambling, one of the fastest growing pastimes is online bingo. Coupling the chance to win money with a real community buzz, looks to meet this ever-growing demand. What’s more, this site accepts players from across the globe (including US players) so this really is a global site with which is spend a few bingo dollars.

Software and Games:

Bingo Hall operates using Parlay Entertainment software. This comes in two forms – flash ‘no download’ and via a download client. However having tested both on this occasion we’d actually say there’s probably no need to use the download software – the look and feel is identical to that of the browser-based version and given the ease-of-use for playing the no-download software this is probably the way to go.

Bingo games are all 75-ball rooms with around 7 rooms running at any one time. Cards cost from $0.01 to $2.50 and most rooms allow anything from 1 to 24-36 cards to be purchased. A ‘fixed price’ room also exists were for $5.00 everyone gets the same number of cards. This makes the game much fairer compared to other rooms where those that buy more cards have a much bigger chance of winning. With anything up to 30 players participating per room game jackpots can touch $50 and the cover-all games offers the chance to win large sums of money (common example jackpots start around the $1000 mark). Progressive jackpots are also available on each game for those that get bingo in a low number of calls – at the time we played a winner had just earned themselves a nice $46,000 jackpot!

In addition to the bingo rooms a handful of casino-style slots, scratch cards and video poker machines are playable although these are of an average-quality and certainly aren’t the main draw of the site.

Game Presentation:

The various bingo rooms (and side games if you want some action between games!) are accessible from the home page (these same games are also accessible from within the download lobby). A player simply chooses the game they want to play and after a few seconds the game is shown. Players can opt to buy any number of cards they want for the next available game (up to the room maximum). A ‘quick buy’ selector makes playing cards easy and the all-important ‘bingo’ button sitting just below the purchase section allows players to get involved with a claim (although the computer will call ‘bingo’ automatically for those lazy members!)

The graphics are not amazing at but it’s very clear to see what number are called and cards auto-arrange depending on how many calls are needed to win the prize pot. And if we’re honest, it’s difficult to make a bingo site look amazing! The bright colours coupled with the male / female bingo caller voiceovers still make the game play fun and as cards get closer to the magic bingo it can really be exciting as you just hope your number is called before another person wins the pot!

The other real draw for players at Bingo Hall is the interactive chat console found at the bottom of each bingo room. Here players can converse and also take part in the various chat games which give players the chance to win some bingo bucks.

Cash, Deposits and Withdrawals:

All play takes place using the US dollar and players can deposit via credit card and eWallet accounts (MoneyBookers etc.) along with cash transfer option (Western Union etc.). eWallet users can deposit any amount whereas credit card depositors have to choose a deposit amount from a pre-defined list )e.g. $24.95, $40.16 – this is done to make deposits more likely to go through (rounded figures, e.g. $25.00 ring alarm bells for some overzealous card processors looking to stop gambling transactions!)

Withdrawals are logged via the Bingo Hall cashier. However, players should note that withdrawals are only processed back to eWallets and only one withdrawal will be honoured per week (any multiple withdrawal requests will result in those requests being denied). This rule runs across Winward Group bingo rooms so players are advised to only play at one site in the group or to make sure they fully understand these rules. Withdrawals are processed on Mondays so at worst a player has to wait 6 days for payout. ID / credit card scans will be required for card depositors to cash out. It has to be said, these withdrawal policies are certainly not great but rest assured winners are paid. It’s just worth being aware of these payout policies before getting too involved!

Bonuses and Terms and Conditions: is definitely good when it comes to bonus money. Players get $5 free just for joining, a 150% sign-up bonus on their first deposit and weekly bonuses worth up to 250% depending on VIP status. These bonuses, like the chat game winnings, come in the form of Bingo Bucks which can be used to play games but cannot be withdrawn. Winnings come in the form of cash though and so even with a small deposit players can have a decent mount of play and still walk away a potential winner. Players can also convert Bonus Bucks to cash (to play the side games) at a rate of X0.5 transfer amount (e.g. $50 BB = $25 cash), but this transfer needs to be played through 12 times.

As always, it is advisable to check bonus rules before playing but our experience with free money has been great – as well as the advertised bonuses we got a $25 birthday bonus and a free $10 for confirming our details over the phone... there’s nothing quite like playing without depositing!

Customer Support:

Email, telephone and live chat are available around the clock for when things don’t go quite right. Email support isn’t the most responsive but with the other options on hand players should have no issues getting hold of support representatives. The in-game chat staff can also help with minor queries in-game.

Other Comments and Summary:

Bingo sites can be a funny thing. Very often you don’t get much play for your deposits (let’s face it – the odds of winning are not great!). But is different. There’s definitely a focus on community and the chat is often buzzing with conversation. The chat games give players an extra chance to win and the deposit bonuses mean small deposits can become very big bank rolls. The cash handling can be better – particularly when it comes to withdrawals. However, for players that understand how things work could well be a good bet. And support is also there to help if things go wrong. With 1000+ players connected at any one time certainly has a lot of fans!
