The rules fit in a sentence: land three matching symbols on one of the five lines from the left, and your win is multiplied by the value in the center of the fourth reel. There is nothing to configure except your stake.

That fourth reel is the whole game. It holds three positions but only the middle one counts, and it carries 1x, 2x, 3x, 5x, 10x and 15x.

The Multiplier Reel and the EX Button

The multiplier reel is what makes a 2.4x line win worth 36x. It spins with the grid, and only the value framed in the center applies. A 15x landing on a full board is where the big screenshots come from.

Extra Bets is the toggle marked EX in the bottom-left corner. It costs an extra 50% of your stake per spin, removes 1x from the multiplier reel entirely, and raises your chances of hitting 2x or 15x.

Whether that is worth paying for is a fair question. On Fortune Gems 3 the studio publishes a 94.49% RTP with Extra Bets against 94.45% without, so the feature buys volatility, not value. Here is how those pieces look inside the game:

The first frame is our own capture: the Garuda wild completing line 2 with 5x framed on the reel. The other four come from the studio’s release material, and the last of them shows a 165,000 win on a stake of 100, which is 1,650x.

Fortune Gems Paytable – Symbols & Payouts

The paytable is short because the grid is small: four card ranks, three gems and the Garuda wild. Every figure below is a multiple of your stake for three of a kind on one line, before the multiplier reel is applied.

One detail is worth reading twice: in the original, the Red Gem pays more than the Garuda wild, which is unusual, and the sequels cut every line value roughly in half to fund their bigger ceilings.

The Garuda substitutes for every other symbol, so a board of wilds fills all five lines at once. Land that with a 15x on the multiplier reel and you are into three-figure returns, and on Fortune Gems 3 a split symbol can double or triple it again.

Fortune Gems 1, 2, 3 and 500 Compared

Searching for “Fortune Gems” in a lobby now returns four games. They share the 3×3 grid, the five fixed lines and the multiplier reel, but the published RTP drops by more than two points after the original while the win ceilings climb.

No. There is no Fortune Gems 4, despite hundreds of Filipinos searching for one every month. The releases that followed Fortune Gems 3 are named differently: Fortune Gems 500 in August 2025, then Fortune Garuda 500 in March 2026 and Fortune Garuda 1000 in August 2026.

The two Garuda titles keep the nudge mechanic and push the ceiling to 25,000x and 50,000x. If a site advertises “Fortune Gems 4”, it is either mislabeling one of those or pointing you at a clone.

Fortune Gems RTP & Volatility: Read the Paytable

This is where most Fortune Gems pages get it wrong. Affiliate sites quote 97% for the whole series, but TaDa Gaming publishes 96.5% for the original, 94.38% for Fortune Gems 2 and 94.45% for Fortune Gems 3.

The 97% figure is not invented. Databases such as SlotCatalog list a 97.13% build of Fortune Gems 3, and TaDa lets operators pick a configuration, so both numbers can be live at different casinos.
