Author’s Motto: Step Out of Your Comfort Zone

Hey there! I’m Jessica Whitehouse and I’m one of the editors at I’m from Santa Monica, where I enjoyed a lot of sun and fun times when I was younger. I still go home for Christmas and for family reunions. In my early years, I was a professional ballet dancer and I enjoyed my Literature and Philosophy classes at school. I was also a photographer for my high-school newsletter, and I’ve attended a few competitions alongside some of the best photographers. Later on, I went to UCLA and studied Environment and Sustainability and during my journey of becoming an environmentalist, I discovered blackjack.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a professional, nor a regular gambler. At some point in my 20s, I started attending blackjack and poker tournaments to take photos of the contestants and sell them to newspaper agencies. I learned how to play, started researching online casinos and testing mobile apps in my spare time and, one day, I became an editor at! It was definitely my type of work and here I am, 6 years later, providing you with the most up-to-date news from the iGaming industry and sharing which are the best casino sites on the market.

What I Do on

To be honest, at first, I was sceptical, and so was my husband, when I received the job offer. I had very little experience in writing articles and blog posts and I was worried I wasn’t that informed about the iGaming industry, nor to write about it. However, things turned out great and now I’m part of John Isaac’s team. I’ve specialized in writing blackjack and roulette reviews; blog posts, news and I also provide photo material for most of the articles prepared for you. Online gambling in South Africa used to be a pet project of mine, since I have a particular fascination with this country – however, the changing legislation has made things harder for the gambling fans out there. You can have a look at some of my latest articles that might spark your interest and I’ve also left my contact details above. I love receiving feedback from readers – that way I know what I need to improve in my writing and what our team could think of to make our content more informative, interesting and fun.
