Winners’ Response

Ferraiuolo is the first Italian WSOP poker bracelet winner since Max Pescatori’s double wins in 2015.

Ferrariello revealed that he had not played in the last three years. He then explained that he had a good start, and the chip count was always higher. He was playing with 20 remaining, to 20-25 big bets.

He described it as a memorable moment for Italy, and he would delay the celebration until the end of this month so that his friends would arrive in EPT Prague.

After winning a seat in the 21 with €77,750 prize money in addition to the 2021 WSOPE event, he was asked whether he can double it the following day.

“We’ll start in the morning. We’ll come back tomorrow and see how it goes. It’s a completely different tournament,” – he said.

Final Day Summary

In only three steps to get to the unofficial ten tables from 20, right after the last table was established, chip leader Voldemir Ligki was eliminated earlier in the day.

Leont Effey took the lead at the final jam. However, in the end, Narcis Nedelcu started strongly and quickly took control.

Early qualifiers did not slow down Nedelco, who along with the other six players, has an almost 2: 1 chip lead from the next spot.

Ferrariuolo started the final table from the middle of the group. And plug away to separate himself from the small stack before Nedelcu’s crucial double of nine against eight saw him second in the chips.

And the Italians took the chip lead by the double-elimination of Roberto Bajaj and Luigi Luxdal, who were trying to win the first bracelet for his country in WSOP history.

Then Nedelcu managed to reclaim the lead, but three double sets for Ferrariuolo – later at Nedelcu’s expense – soon saw Romania run out.

Ion Tabacaru quickly moved to number three, becoming the first player to receive an additional award for the 2021 WSOPE Event Set and one-on-one play.

More about the Match

The duo started the one-on-one part of the game level with chips, and the chip spreads fluctuated in and out in the initial exchange. Efe took the first bold step, but a good hit from Ferrariuolo make him take a significant chip lead.

He had a lame hand in his pocket, and after losing the middle pair of Efe, he controlled them all, only to break into Italian hands. Efe started a lot after the turn, but the river overflowed, and it was all in vain as Ferrariuolo celebrated with his track.
