The Bugeaters FC TEAM was announced as a United Premier Soccer League expansion team on December 12, 2017 and the club was founded by Nebraska native Jonathan Collura. The Lincoln Stars are a Tier I junior ice hockey team playing in the United States Hockey League (USHL).
